About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Research Associate with significant experience in industrial pharmaceutical screening to help drive its drug discovery programs. The primary responsibility of this position is the implementation and performance of biochemical and cell-based assays for the robust screening of compounds. The successful candidate will join a team of scientists to assess novel therapeutics targeting protein constituents of the circadian molecular clock and its outputs.


  • Work closely with other members of the Molecular Pharmacology team to develop and optimize target-based screening assays
  • Perform robust target-based screening of compounds to determine the potency of test compounds
  • Work closely with chemists and project leaders to track and escort sets of compounds through screening assays
  • Develop and implement assays to measure pre-clinical biomarkers for in vivo efficacy studies
  • Participate in the collaborative evaluation of new technologies
  • Contribute to overall laboratory operations


  • BS in Biochemistry or related discipline
  • 5+ years industry experience in running cell-based or enzymatic assays for the purpose of compound evaluation
  • Expert in mammalian cell culture
  • Attention to detail and rigorous observation of variances in methods and results
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a track record of working well with others
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Macros, Graphpad Prism, cloud based software (e.g. CDD and Spotfire)
  • Experienced in the use of radiolabeled tracers and immunological methods in biochemistry
  • Experienced in the use of equilibrium and nonequilibrium radioligand binding assays

Additional Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with basic statistical analyses and how to apply them to biological data
  • Previous experience working with allosteric modulators and/or GPCR targets
